Crowns

A dental crown, also known as a tooth cap, helps improve the appearance of a decayed or broken tooth. The caps are made of a variety of materials, including metal, ceramic, porcelain, or glass. The process of placing a crown typically involves two visits to our office. During the first visit, we shape the damaged or decayed tooth so the crown can fit exactly. Then, we take an impression of the prepared tooth which is sent to a dental laboratory where the crown is fabricated while a temporary crown protects the tooth. At the second visit, a permanent crown is cemented in place. If you think you need a dental crown or have any questions about the procedure, do not hesitate to contact us. Our team of dental professionals can provide you with the information you need to make an informed decision about your oral health.
